Nicki & Sam’s Wedding

We spent this weekend with Nicki & Sam at their wedding in a quaint little church in Willington, the service was really beautiful & despite the threatening rain, we managed to get all the shots we needed in the rustic grounds. The evening do was held in their local pub, The Queens, giving it a laid back feel. We couldn’t believe how well the little pub had been transformed! Such a lovely wedding – check out that gorgeous Ian Stuart number!

Nicki & Sam’s Engagement Shoot

We were so excited when Nicki said that they’d like their engagement shoot in Delamere Forest as they walk their dog Otis there regularly. Delamere Forest is a special place for us, apart from being on our doorstep, we’ve both grown up walking there and still go nearly every day!

We planned out a route and got some amazing outdoorsy shots – the colour of the trees are just beautiful! Otis was very well behaved too!

Craig & Fiona’s Engagement Shoot

What a great way to spend a sunny Saturday! We went for a walk up Frodsham Hill – our old stopping ground – and got some great shots. Craig & Fi are our close friends so it just felt like a normal walk with a few pictures thrown in! So glad the weather held out too!

Shelley & Andy’s Wedding

Shelley & Andy’s wedding took place in the beautiful Redhouse Barns in Warwickshire on a sunny day in March. The barns really are a photographer’s paradise, everything has been catered for! The wedding was very sophisticated with navy blue & white – just beautiful!

Dan & Jenny’s Wedding

Dan & Jenny were married in a beautiful little church in Solihull – you wouldn’t have known it was there! After the ceremony we moved on to a country hotel in Kenilworth, the grounds we stunning in the late Autumn afternoon light and the rusty brown of the leaves made an awesome backdrop for our portrait shots.

James & Laura’s Wedding

Following James & Laura’s Newcastle engagement shoot earlier in the year, the happy couple were married in a beautiful village called Matfen, just north of Newcastle. You wouldn’t believe you were anywhere near a big city, it was a rural idle.

Matfen Hall was just amazing; the ceremony was held in a medieval hall complete with stained glass windows and huge ceilings. We made full use of the grounds and gardens for their portrait shots, there was a new backdrop around every corner! We were spoilt for choice!

Amy & Sion’s Wedding

What an amazing wedding! Amy & Sion got married in the beautiful village of Malpas in a gorgeous country church. They then moved on to Amy’s family home – a farm in the village of Broxton, complete with a huge marquee in the main field. Amy had definitely opted for a vintage-country theme with a lace Ian Stuart dress, beautiful amnesia roses and table names taken from Radio 4′s The Archers – very apt as Amy’s family name is Archer!

Alice & Gabriel’s Wedding

Alice & Gabriel got married this weekend at Alice’s farmhouse home in Colne. This really was an eclectic wedding; Gabriel is from Kenya so there were plenty of Kenyan influences strewn throughout a traditional English garden party. The order of the day was fun, fun, fun – they’re both such laid back people, the most important thing for them was that their guests enjoyed themselves. And boy they did – between the bouncy castle at the end of the garden, the Super Sumo wrestling ring, the “play it yourself” DJ booth and Chinese lanterns at the end of the night, this really was a fun wedding to enjoy!

Helen & Martin’s Wedding

We’ve spent this weekend in the Lake District for Helen & Martin’s wedding, it really is a beautiful part of the world! Helen & Martin got married in a traditional hotel in Ambleside, a place renowned for it’s rainfall and it didn’t disappoint! Luckily for us, the sun shone just at the right time allowing us to get some amazing shots on the lake – the reason that Helen chose the hotel.

Then it was off to the Hawkshead Brewery for the evening do! It’s a great building; all natural wood, stainless steel and glass. Guests had a wide selection of different ales to choose from, including Wedding Ale! The formal meal was held in the adjoining Wilf’s Café – a firm favourite with bikers in the area, and a meaningful place for Helen & Martin.

We were invited to stay for the Ceilidh, I’ve never laughed so much! A great ice-breaker between guests if ever there was one!
